Alheit Monument 2022

`Alheit Monument 2022 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard Semillon from the Franschhoek region of South Africa`s Western Cape. An extraordinarily pure yet complex expression of old-vine Semillon, this wine was spontaneously fermented in old barrels, then matured on lees in barrels for 18 months before bottling. Producer note. "This vineyard continues a strong run of good form. The nose is lovely. naartjie rind, nut oil, some lanolin, maybe crushed herbs. The palate is very textured and deep, but still bright and bristling. The finish is unusually long for this wine. This is one of the best examples of the old La Colline vineyards to date."
