The 2020 Château La Conseillante is a blend composed of 87% Merlot, complemented by 13% Cabernet Franc, aged in 70% new French oak barrels. Undoubtedly on par with the exceptional 2019 vintage, it reveals an incredible nose of pure blue fruits, cassis, violets, spring flowers, and truffle. Sine Qua Non is one of the most famous cult wineries in the world and winemaker, Manfred Krankl, is celebrated for crafting tiny quantities of unique Rhône-inspired wines from exceptional vineyards across the Californian Central Coast. Jusqu’à L’Os is an extended barrel-aged Grenache from the estate-owned 11 Confessions Vineyard.

With small portions of Syrah and Petite Sirah also blended in, this is a deep and inky release with incredibly pure aromas of blackberry, raspberry and black cherry with wonderful hints of dried flowers, exotic spices, wild herbs and woodsmoke. Silky and lush on the palate, pixelated tannins provide ample structure and drive, with perky acidity giving vibrancy and freshness. Only 868 cases produced.

Sine Qua Non is the creation of pioneering winemaker, Manfred Krankl, and is a world-famous cult winery revered for producing miniscule quantities of unique Rhône-inspired wines from some of the greatest vineyards across the Central Coast. ‘E’ Grenache from the stunning 2015 vintage is a barrel-selection blend with fruit sourced from the estate-owned Eleven Confessions vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills. This is an incredibly complex and full-bodied release, with hedonistic notes of black cherry, raspberry, plum, earth, star anise and dark chocolate. The addition of a small quantity of Petite Sirah gives a more intense, broad-shouldered structure which will aid this wine age superbly well for the next 10-15 years.

Produced from biodynamically farmed old vines aged 90-100 years on the famed hill of Hermitage, Chapoutier`s Le Pavillon is consistently one of the profoundest and most-long-lived Syrahs from the Hermitage vineyard. On the 2011. "Even better and a prodigious effort that hits all my sweet spots, the 2011 Ermitage Le Pavillon comes from one of the top terroirs on Hermitage hill, the granite soils of the Les Bessards lieu-dit. Spectacularly perfumed, with raspberry, blackberry, liquorice, toasted spices and assorted floral nuances, this full-bodied effort has massive depth and richness, no hard edges and masses of finely polished tannin that emerge on and frame the finish. Guigal Ermitage Rouge Ex Voto 2009 is a full-bodied Syrah red wine form the Hermitage appellation of the Northern Rhône Valley. Domaine Guigal is among the great producers of the Rhône Valley and is often considered as a benchmark for quality. Ex Voto is their flagship wine from the hill of Hermitage first created in 2005 and is an extremely limited cuvée only produced in the best vintages. It is 100% Syrah from the famous lieux-dits of Bessards, Greffieux, Murands and Hermite, all of which have vines between 40 and 90 years of age. "Every bit as phenomenal as the `10, yet in a completely different style, the 2009 Hermitage Ex Voto reveals a saturated inky colour as well as layers of plums, black raspberries, candied violets, liquorice and crushed rock.
