Opus One was founded by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, the legendary owner of Château Mouton Rothschild, and renowned Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi. Their shared vision was to bring together the winemaking traditions and innovations of both families to craft an exceptional wine in the heart of Napa Valley. Driven by a passion for uncompromising quality, Opus One strives to embody this vision and passionate spirit for generations to come.

Opus One 2021 is a tribute to Cabernet Sauvignon. The vintage was predominantly dry, marking it as the second driest in Opus One`s history, with cooler temperatures and no excessive heat. These conditions allowed the Cabernet Sauvignon to flourish, composing an impressive 93% of the blend. Opus One 2021 exudes enticing dark-fruit aromas, with a bright, fresh attack. The concentrated flavours echo these aromas, accompanied by a lush, creamy texture on the mid-palate, thanks to the fine-grained tannins.

Awarded 100 points by Jane Anson. "A classical vintage that perfectly suits the Opus style."

Domaine Grand Veneur Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes 2007 is a full-bodied red wine from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation of the southern Rhône Valley. Domaine Grand Veneur was founded in 1976 by Alain Jaume, who succeeded in transforming his family`s bulk winemaking business into one of the most respected fine wine brands in the southern Rhône. The estate is now run by siblings Sébastien, Christophe and Hèlène - the sixth generation of the Jaume winegrowing family. "The newest special cuvee (introduced in 2006) is the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes (50% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah). Made from 50- to 100+-year-old vines and aged 18 months in small oak barrels, it is potentially one of the longest lived wines of the vintage. This exquisite, dense purple-coloured effort reveals intense but restrained notes of cassis, kirsch, lavender, licoricey, and graphite. A wine of great intensity as well as remarkable finesse and elegance, is a full-bodied Chateauneuf that will require plenty of patience." Robert Parker, 2009

"The 2009 Cote Rotie la Mouline (which incorporates a whopping 11% of Viognier) offers an insane bouquet of roasted meats, toast, spice, caramelized meats, coffee bean and deep, concentrated and layered blackberry and cassis-styled fruit. As with the 2010, it has off-the-chart richness, a stacked mid-palate and a gorgeous polish to its tannin. Give it another 3 to 4 years and drink it over the following 2-3 decades." 100 points, Wine Advocate, 2014
