A standout wine from Domaine Giraud, Grenaches de Pierre comes from pure sandy soils in Crau and Pignan. "One of the most profound wines in the vintage is unquestionable the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee les Grenache de Pierre, which is 100% Grenache, from sandy soils in the la Crau lieu-dit, raised all in concrete tanks and bottled unfiltered. Its deep ruby colour is followed by an incredible bouquet of black cherries, black raspberries, licoricey, dried herbs and garrigue.  Pingus 2021, the esteemed flagship red from Dominio de Pingus, is crafted by Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck in Spain`s Ribera del Duero region. This vintage is composed solely of 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), sourced from a mere 5 hectares of biodynamically farmed vineyards, where vines are often over 65 years old. The low yields from these ancient vineyards contribute to its distinctive character. The wine undergoes 20-22 months of ageing in French oak barrels, resulting in a profile marked by dark fruit nuances and intricate herbal undertones. Dominio de Pingus was established in 1995, aiming to elevate local terroir.
