Guigal is arguably the most renowned producer in Côte Rôtie and stands as one of the premier names in the Rhône Valley. Established in 1946 by Etienne Guigal, the estate was at the forefront of the concept of single-vineyard Côte Rôtie wines. His three most famous wines, La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque, are currently among the world`s most highly sought-after wines. The 1995 La Turque presents an enticing nose of floral scents, complemented by red cherries, dried blackberry, smoky herbs, savoury charcuterie, and crushed vanilla beans. On the palate, its velvety, smooth edges lead to a vibrant core of impeccably ripe cherry liqueur, thyme, candied almond, marmalade, and hints of orange zest.

£300.00
Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Rouge 2021 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard red wine produced from Syrah grapes in the northern Rhône Valley. With prized vineyard holdings in the cru of Hermitage (as well as St-Joseph), Domaine Jean-Louis Chave is the pre-eminent name in northern Rhône winemaking. Current custodian of the domaine, Jean-Louis is, almost incredibly, the 16th generation of Chave family winemaker. "As is usually the case, I was able to taste the new vintage in its individual components, which is an incredible lesson in the terroir of Hermitage, and I continue to believe this is one of the most educational tastings I do every year. All of the samples for the 2021 Hermitage rated between 93 and 95, and this should be a classic, more medium-bodied, elegant, yet still substantial Hermitage. All of the single parcels show classic, textbook characteristics and possess ripe tannins and outstanding purity of fruit. I suspect this wine will be in the mould of the 2014, possibly the 2004. It should benefit from just short-term cellaring and have two decades of longevity." Jeb Dunnuck, 2022

Château Cheval Blanc 1967 is a mature Saint-Émilion red drawn from gravel and clay soils on the Pomerol border. Decades of evolution have transformed its fruit into layered notes of dried plum, cedar and tobacco leaf, with faint traces of truffle and leaf litter. The palate is silken, the structure gently eroded yet still coherent, acidity now the defining spine. Aromas rise gradually rather than forcefully, carried by subtle volatile lift. The finish is savoury and persistent, a quiet expression of balance shaped by time rather than power.
