Schrader is a cult Napa producer, and this bottling comes from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville, one of California`s most coveted Cabernet Sauvignon sites and certainly its most famous, producing more 100 point scores than any other. Robert Parker scored this 2004 98 points with a drinking window of 2014-2039. After twenty years this is now fully mature, so expect complex, savoury, earthy notes alongside the black fruits with a smooth, mouth-filling texture and a long finish. Serve with a well-aged steak.

Founded in 1946, Domaine Guigal is one of the most revered and unwaveringly consistent estates in the Rhône Valley and is often seen as a benchmark for quality Côte-Rôtie. The top three wines from Guigal are known affectionately in some circles as the La La’s, which is short for La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque. Vérité was founded in 1997 by the late visionary Jess Jackson and long-time Bordeaux vigneron, Pierre Seillan. In just over 20 years, the winery has managed to forge a reputation for itself as one of the most consistent producers of elite level fine wine from Sonoma County, California. They produce just three wines - La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir - all of which are based on the traditional varieties of Bordeaux.

La Joie is made in the mould of the great wines of Pauillac and the Left Bank. The 2013 vintage was utterly sublime and this is a rich, complex and creamy blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Drink now until 2065.

This is the acclaimed 2019 vintage of the château’s Grand Vin, composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. This wine, while bearing a damaged capsule, is notable for its deep, rich structure and spent an extensive period in French oak barrels. Eric Rodez Blanc de Noirs Edition 35 NV represents the craftsmanship of a producer rooted in organic and biodynamic practices, with vineyards in Ambonnay Grand Cru. This blend comprises 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from multiple vintages, including 26% from 2018 and 24% from 2017. The vinification process utilises 90% oak barrels, with a minimal 10% undergoing malolactic fermentation to preserve fresh fruit character. Dosage is set at 2.0g/l. On the nose, it offers a powerful and complex bouquet, marked by a rich array of red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant), beautifully integrated with notes of dried and candied fruits, toasted brioche, hazelnut, and subtle savory or chalky minerality. There can be hints of baked apples and a distinct vinous character due to a high proportion of the wine being vinified in small oak barrels (often around 75-90%) and a significant portion not undergoing malolactic fermentation.

Barolo Cannubi GB Burlotto 2016 is a single-vineyard Nebbiolo from the renowned Cannubi cru of Barolo, Piedmont. The Cannubi vineyard, with its south-facing slopes, promotes optimal ripening and flavour development. This wine reflects the cru`s unique terroir with aromas of dried cherry, plum and subtle floral notes. The tannins, marked by a delicate chalkiness, integrate with a persistent finish. Fermentation occurs in open oak casks and the wine matures in large oak botti. Founded in 1850, GB Burlotto was a pioneer in Barolo production, contributing to its modern reputation.
