Pessac-Leognan
Forming part of the most prestigious northern part of the Graves appellation, this Southern Left Bank appellation (created in 1987), is renowned for both the high quality red and white wines produced on its gravelly soils. Key producers to look out for include the celebrated Château Haut-Brion - considered by many to be one of the finest wines in the world and ranked as a First Growth in the historic 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines. Further star-studded names include La Mission Haut-Brion, Domaine de Chevalier and Le Clarence de Haut-Brion to name but a few.
