Château Figeac was the only estate to be upgraded to Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the 2022 classification of Saint-Émilion. Owned by the Manoncourt family since 1892, this fine estate traces its history back to the Roman era. Today, the property spans approximately 40 hectares of vineyards, with the majority of the grapes going into the celebrated Grand Vin, a classic style of Saint-Émilion with wonderful texture and tannic power. The 2020 vintage is made from a blend of 37% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Cabernet Franc. Expect notes of violets, blackcurrants, stewed strawberries and a touch of white pepper. Presented here en magnum.
