Domaine de la Vougeraie Vougeot Le Clos Blanc de Vougeot 2000 is a mature, full-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Premier Cru vineyard of Le Clos Blanc in the Vougeot commune of the Côte de Nuits. Based in the village of Premeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie is a Burgundy wine producer owned by the influential Boisset family. It is one of the newest estates in the region, with the first vintage being 1999. The vineyards of the domaine have been managed biodynamically since This release hails from Clos Blanc de Vougeot, a historic walled vineyard founded by the monks of Cîteaux. The wine was aged in oak barrels for 16 months followed by another two months spent in stainless steel tank. Expect an elegant, precise, mineral-inflected Chardonnay with mature notes of hazelnut and honey alongside classic citrus and stone fruits.

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home.

One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
