Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Once again, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon pays homage to the 2007, but the aromas and flavors seems to be just a touch brighter, which might just be a function of the wine's age. A wine of remarkable precision, the 2009 is totally dialed in from start to finish. Layers of intensely sweet, perfumed fruit are woven together with remarkable elegance and sheer polish. Today, the 2009 isn't quite as radiant as it has been in the past, and seems headed for a stubborn phase. It is still striking, though. Even if a bit less exotic than the 2007, the two wines share a silkiness and overall sense of textural finesse. A translucent, weightless finish rounds things out in style. The 2009 is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot. Antonio Galloni1st December 2012

An Iconic Cult Cabernet

An almost mythical name in the wine world, particularly among connoisseurs of fine Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. Screaming Eagle had relatively modest beginnings - in the early 1990s, grape grower Jean Philips decided to ask Robert Mondavi to taste her homemade Cabernet Sauvignon. Mondavi was so enamoured with the dense, full-flavoured Cabernet Sauvignon she presented that he encouraged her to bottle it as soon as possible. The high quality of the wine, perfect scores from critics and tiny production meant it swiftly became the holy grail for American wine collectors.

The Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard at Screaming Eagle benefits from a rocky substrate and excellent drainage and exposure. The result is fruit that gets plenty of sun to ripen, but a cooling northerly breeze courtesy of the San Pablo Bay. The wines are made in a bold, rich, unapologetically Californian style. Blackcurrent, cigar box, blackerries and violets abound on the nose while the tannins are soft and fine-grained. The estate also produce a second wine, "Second Flight" and a tiny amount Sauvignon Blanc.
