The 2009 Pommard Les Vaumuriens from Domaine Coche-Dury is a red Burgundy produced solely from Pinot Noir. The grapes are harvested from a small parcel in the Les Vaumuriens lieu-dit, measuring approximately 0.15 hectares. This vintage is marked by warm, ripe conditions, resulting in a nose characterised by dark berry fruit alongside subtle hints of spice and earthiness. The palate presents a structured yet balanced profile with notable persistence, reflecting the terroir of Pommard.

A teensy bit sludgy on the nose. Lots of sleek fruit on the palate but pretty tight and uncommunicative at the moment, and not up to the standard of great Pommard. (JR)
