Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé 2004 is a vintage, prestige-cuvée rosé Champagne produced by Perrier-Jouët in Reims, France. First appearing in 1964 and only made in exceptional vintages, Belle Époque is instantly recognisable throughout the world, its bottle adorned with the graceful spray of Japanese white anemones created for Maison Perrier-Jouët by Art Nouveau master Emile Gallé in 1902. "Light, bright orange. Vibrant, mineral-accented red berry and orange zest aromas are complicated by anise, smoky minerals and white pepper. Spicy and focused on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering juicy red berry and blood orange flavours and a touch of buttered toast. Finishes with good spicy cut and cling, leaving a bitter berry skin note behind. Eight percent of this blend is still red wine from the grand crus Avize and Ay." Vinous, 2014

The 2004 Brut Rosé Cuvée Belle Epoque is a deceptively light-colored wine. It shows off striking inner perfume and richness as the fruit flows across the palate. Sweet red berries, crushed flowers and spices are some of the notes that wrap around the finish. Though medium in body and feminine in style, there is an element of depth that is compelling.
