Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Founded in 1924, Domaine Georges Roumier is the legendary wine producer based in the Côte de Nuits village of Chambolle-Musigny. A family-owned estate for nearly 100 years, its vineyard area stretches over 11.52 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis and Corton-Charlemagne. This particular cuvée is the domaine’s Musigny Grand Cru, one of the most mythical and collectable wines from Burgundy, with a tiny production of approximately 350 bottles per year. Expect a very perfumed and sweet expression, boasting notes of dried herb, rose petals and cherry, all balanced nicely in a very elegant way.

The 2008 Musigny Grand Cru, which was vinified with 100% stems, has a bright, clear ruby core with thin bricking on the rim. The refined, characterful nose displays superb definition, offering cranberry and raspberry fruit, crushed rose petal and a leafy component that becomes more pronounced with aeration. You could argue that the stem addition juts out a little, perhaps exaggerated by its juxtaposition against the 2007 Musigny, although I can abide that facet. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red fruit on the entry, plenty of sous-bois and saline characteristics and plenty of depth. It does not possess the opulence of the 2007; it is more a Musigny that wears its heart on its sleeve. I concur with Tanzer’s observation that the stems have not fully assimilated into this wine, and after a decade, I suspect they never will. Yet this is still a thoroughly enjoyable if not fault-free wine. Tasted in November 2018 at the Roumier Musigny dinner at Épure in Hong Kong. Neal Martin1st August 2019

A Icon of Fine Burgundy

One of Burgundy's most famous producers - founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, the domaine was passed to his son Jean-Marie in 1957 and eventually on to his grandson Christophe in the early 1990s. Vines are either rented from family members or managed on a share-cropping basis and the cellar team operate a dynamic approach to winemaking, subtly altering their techniques depending on the vineyard and vintage. Some fruit is fully destemmed before fermentation while some is partially destemmed. A cool maceration takes place before fermentation, which takes place in wooden vats, and punch downs happen twice a day. Use of new oak is judicious - only around 20% for the village wines, 35% for the Premier Crus and 50% for the Grand Crus.

If Georges Roumier only produced Chambolle-Musigny, Bonnes Mares and Clos St Denis, the winery would still be considered one of the greatest in Burgundy, but their other-worldly Musigny Grand Cru elevates their status among the great wineries of France to legendary.
