Chambolle-Musigny

With its 90 or so hectares of vineyards planted on clay-limestone soils with a poorer clay content than those of neighbouring villages, Chambolle-Musigny produces aromatic, elegant Pinot Noirs. But though relatively light in structure, they lack nothing in fruit concentration.

The village of Chambolle-Musigny was originally referred to simply as ‘Chambolle’, however the name of its most famous vineyard was appended in 1882. The most revered producers in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation include Domaine Roumier, Domaine Mugnier and Domaine de la Vogüe.
