Jean-François Coche`s Meursault from the high-performing Premier Cru, `Les Perrières`. Expect a chalky, mineral nose with citrus and nutty nuances, carrying through on the creamy palate and concluding on a refreshing, mineral finish.

Vinous
The 2007 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru is a supremely gifted wine. It exudes life-affirming mineralité on a nose of powdered limestone mixed with hazelnut and a subtle fumé tincture. As I discerned before, there is a Puligny-like tension to this Perrières, and it has retained its pithy, weighty and satisfying finish. It is drinking beautifully now, but it unequivocally has a long life ahead of it. Tasted at a private dinner in Burgundy. Neal Martin1st August 2021
