Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Tillets 2009 is a mature vintage white Burgundy from the lieu-dit of Les Tillets in the village of Meursault in the Côte de Beaune. Guy Roulot was a trailblazer in Meursault, introducing the concept of single-vineyard bottlings and employing a winemaking approach that emphasised the expression of unique minerality and delicate aromas. His untimely passing in 1982 left a void at the estate. At that time, his son Jean-Marc, who was pursuing a career in acting, stepped forward to lead the domaine and continue his father`s legacy.

Roulot's 2009 Meursault Les Tillets is really exceptional, opening in the glass with aromas of wheat toast, hazelnut and green orchard fruit, framed by light reduction that dissipates with aeration. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, sappy and intense, with an elegantly glossy attack, good mid-palate depth and plenty of youthful grip on the long, vibrant finish. A terrific achievement in the 2009 vintage.William Kelley28th December 2018

Pale lemon-yellow. Complex, lively aromas of citrus fruit, hazelnut and stone; very Meursault. At once supple and penetrating, with rich flavors of ripe peach and pineapple complicated by nut oil and a leesy note. An edge of lemony acidity gives grip to the finish. Following the Clos de Mon Plaisir and Luchets, this conveys a stronger impression of terroir. Lovely wine.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2011
