Domaine Coche-Dury is one of the leading producers in Burgundy, renowned for producing some of the most sought-after white wines in the world. Today, the estate consists of approximately nine hectares, predominantly in and around their winery in Meursault, where this village-level release comes from. The 2009 vintage is showing classic matchstick notes, citrus fruit, roasted nuts, a hint of butter, all complemented by laser-sharp acidity. Drinking exceptionally well now.

The 2009 Meursault is similarly rich and tropical, but also comes across as quite young next to the 2002, which is an ever-present reminder of how these wines can age. Although the 2009 is gorgeous, if I owned it, I would try to give it more time in bottle. Antonio Galloni1st February 2020
