Considered by Jancis Robinson ‘the most reliable source of great white Burgundies’, Domaine Coche-Dury is a highly regarded producer, which was established in the 1920s. The estate consists of approximately nine hectares, predominantly in and around their winery in Meursault, where this village-level release comes from. The 2004 vintage is a fine and elegant Chardonnay, showing some lemony fruit, distinct but subtle mineral accents and a bit of spiciness. Drinking well now.

(from Narvaux; cuvee destined for the U.S. market) Very ripe aromas of candied lemon peel and nectarine. Fat, sweet and ripe, offering considerable early appeal. Very Meursault in character, from redder soil.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2006

The Domaine is celebrated for its superb and highly acclaimed Chardonnay including Meursault Perrières, Meursault Les Chevalières, Corton Charlemagne and Puligny Montrachet Les Enseignères. With tiny yields and meticulous wine making, the Coche-Dury name is truly iconic on the Burgundy stage.
