Mendel Unus 2007 is a single-vineyard red wine crafted from a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon in Mendoza, Argentina. The grapes are sourced exclusively from the historic Finca Mendel estate, which is situated in the prestigious Uco Valley of Mendoza. The wine underwent 16 months of maturation in new French oak barrels. This vintage reflects the region`s unique terroir, providing a balance of acidity and tannic structure to frame the ripe Cabernet and Malbec fruit.

From Drummond, Luján de Cuyo, the 2007 Unus marked the first year grapes from a vineyard planted in 1928 were used for this wine, whichwere grown in a textbook year. Purple with a brick-dust sheen. The beautifully intense nose presents refined and attractive fruity notes, maraschino cherry and date hints. The tannins are reactive and taut. This is a well-made wine that will continue to improve.Joaquin Hidalgo12th January 2023
