Hundred Acre Ark Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 is a cult red wine from Jayson Woodbridge’s estate in the St Helena sub-region of Napa Valley. This 2007 vintage is sourced from a 15-acre vineyard situated at the base of Howell Mountain, where the volcanic soils produce fruit of exceptional density. The wine was aged for 30 months in 100% new French oak, resulting in a hedonistic profile of crème de cacao, blackberries and crème de cassis. It is a full-bodied and monumental Cabernet Sauvignon, possessing a seamless, luxurious texture and an incredibly long, opulent finish.

Good full ruby. Impossibly sexy aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, pipe tobacco, saddle leather and creme caramel A wine of extraordinary layered depth, with near-confectionery sweetness leavened by superb energy. This boasts much more early appeal than the backward Kayli Morgan but there's also outstanding structure here to support a long evolution in bottle. Finishes with remarkably lush tannins and great breadth and length.Stephen Tanzer1st May 2010
