A classic Pauillac and the second wine of Château Lunch Bages. The result of a selection of Lynch-Bages` youngest vines and specific plots. Echo de Lynch-Bages is round, soft and seductive. The 2009 vintage is a beautiful blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc. Deep colour with red fruit aromas and elegant overtones of well-integrated oak. Good structure with ripe characterful tannins. Smooth and powerful.

The 2009 Echo de Lynch Bages has a fragrant bouquet with estuarine-infused black fruit, crushed rose petals and hints of graphite. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, weighted evenly from start to finish with a composed cedar and mint infused finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners’ 2009 Bordeaux tasting. Neal Martin1st March 2019

The Modern Pauillac

Situated in the celebrated Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux, Château Lynch Bages uses around 60% of its 100 hectares to produce its first wine (a 5th growth in the 1855 classification) in addition to producing a second red, Echo de Lynch Bages. These wines display superb Cabernet Sauvignon character, together with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making up the blend. A wonderful example of the power and elegance of truly great Pauillac: gloriously supple and smooth with a tannic backbone.

A white wine, known as Blanc de Lynch Bages, is also produced in very small quantities. Made from an elegant blend of the classic white Bordeaux varietals, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle, the resulting wines display exhilarating freshness and dried apricot complexity.
