Echezeaux du Dessus Cécile Tremblay 2010 is a Grand Cru red Burgundy crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. This wine originates from Cécile Tremblay, known for her meticulous biodynamic practices since 2005. Sourced from a small vineyard parcel in the Du Dessus lieu-dit, its Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils provide a distinct minerality. Tremblay employs minimal intervention in her winemaking, with techniques including whole-cluster fermentation and gentle extraction methods. The wine undergoes aging for 15-18 months in oak barrels, which influences its development and character over time.
Vinous
The 2010 Echézeaux du-Dessus is a totally seamless wine. Dark red berries, crushed flowers and spices are some of the notes that are woven together on a fabric of nearly indescribable elegance. The Echézeaux doesn't quite have the delineation or energy of the Chapelle, but it more than makes up for that with its superb integrity and the sheer luxuriousness of its fruit. This is yet another dazzling effort from Cécile Tremblay.
