Nuits-Saint-Georges is the largest town in the Burgundy sub-region of the Côte de Nuits. The Côte de Nuits is in fact named after Nuits-Saint-Georges, which historically played an important role in the trading of the sub-region’s wines. The appellation of Nuits-Saint-Georges wine comprises 300ha of vineyards in the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges itself and Premeaux-Prissey.
