Domaine de Chevalier 1998 is a mature Left Bank Bordeaux red wine from Pessac-Léognan. Domaine de Chevalier is a prestigious wine estate in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of the Graves region. The winery and vineyards are located south of the city of Bordeaux, in the commune of Léognan. This release is the 1998 vintage of its flagship wine and is an assemblage of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. "Medium-deep ruby-red. Woodsy aromas of forest floor and truffle combine with fresher red berry and cassis on the nose. Then sweeter and richer in the mouth than the autumnal nose suggests, showing a lightly syrupy quality to the red and dark berry flavors. Finishes with noble tannins, good length and a return of the syrupy-sweet note." Ian d`Agata, 2013
