Domaine de Chevalier is an illustrious Grand Cru Classé estate situated in Pessac-Léognan and is highly regarded for their superbly balanced and long-lived red and white wines. From the utterly exceptional 2009 vintage this is an extraordinarily high-quality release composed of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. Though perfectly in its prime drinking window, this should continue to age and improve for at least the next two decades. A timeless classic!

The 2009 Domaine de Chevalier has a vivacious, almost exotic bouquet with lavish black fruit, mint, oregano and cedar that all gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, ripe black fruit laced with white pepper and even a faint touch of Szechuan pepper. This displays exquisite balance and the finish feels deep and satisfying, clearly born in a great vintage. An illustrious Grand Cru Classé de Graves estate situated in the appellation of Pessac-Léognan. Producing superbly balanced and long-lived reds and white wines, the estate has been in the hands of the Bernard family since 1983.
