The esteemed rosé prestige cuvée crafted by Champagne Ruinart is a meticulous Grand Cru blend that marries Dom Ruinart Chardonnay with a finishing touch of 15% red wine from Montagne de Reims. Since its inaugural vintage in 1966, this cuvée has consistently held its place among the most exceptional rosés available. The Pinot Noir red wine hails from the Grand Cru villages of Sillery and Verzenay, where it undergoes a nine-day skin maceration process before pressing, extracting the delicate pink hue and gentle fruit tannins. The 2009 vintage spent a whole decade on the lees and finally disgorged in February 2020.

The 2009 Dom Ruinart Rosé is a joyous, radiant Rosé, a Champagne that very much captures the personality of its vintage. Rich, ample and layered, the 2009 captivates all the senses with its heady, Pinot-driven personality. The blend includes about 15% still red Pinot, lower than the 20% that was once the norm but more than is typical since then. Antonio Galloni8th April 2025

A beautiful coral color with an extra fine bead of bubbles that dissipates slowly, the Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 is a blend of 85% Grand Cru Chardonnay plus 15% of Äy red wine. Consistent with the house style, the wines were vinified in stainless and completed malo-lactic fermentation. This rosé was aged a minimum of 11 years and finished as an Extra Brut with four grams per liter dosage. The nose reveals delicate morello cherry, lemon curd, kumquat and warm spice notes mixed with hints of wilted rose petals and toast. The medium-bodied palate is savory and lithe with red plum and citrus notes, a supple acid backbone and a long, saline finish that has a kiss of bitterness. The bottle tasted was disgorged September 2022.Sarah Mayo8th November 2023

Ruinart

One of Champagne's Oldest

Founded in Reims in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart (the nephew of legendary Benedictine monk Dom Ruinart), Ruinart is one of the oldest champagne houses in France. The Ruinart style is characterised by its supreme elegance and finesse. A key cuvée is the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs - the house’s signature champagne - made using 100% Chardonnay grapes from vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.

The Chardonnay variety is at the heart of all of the house's cuvees, including the Ruinart Rosé Brut, which is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, mostly sourced from Premier Cru vineyards, in addition to the Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and the Ruinart Brut.
