Dom Pérignon Rosé 2004 is a vintage prestige-cuvée Champagne. This vintage is composed of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, incorporating 15-20% still wine from selected sites. This excellent vintage presents a graceful, poised and elegant style, offering a nose of redcurrant and wild strawberry notes alongside subtle bready complexity from its time on the lees. The wine is both expressive and approachable, with a remarkable length and a refined, satiny texture that reveals a core of deep, concentrated Pinot character.

A wine of pure and total pleasure, the 2004 Dom Pérignon Rosé is explosive and hedonistically rich, with tons of pure texture from the 28% still Pinot in the blend. In this tasting, the 2004 Rosé is especially fine. I imagine it will reward readers lucky enough to own it with several decades of exceptional drinking. The Past, Present and Future of Champagne

The first release of this now famous prestige cuvée was the 1921 vintage, launched in 1936. Dom Pérignon produces only vintage Champagnes, both blanc and rosé, and offer a number of late release bottlings under their Oenothèque and Plénitude labels. The wine is named after the legendary Benedictine monk, Father Pierre Pérignon, who in 1668 arrived at the Abbey of Hautvillers, north of Épernay and began experiments that would eventually lead to the creation and bottling of sparkling wine as we know it today.

The Maison produces elegantly balanced, harmonious and extraordinarily age-worthy Champagnes that are appreciated the world over. Young vintages offer a citrus-forward, brioche-like profile while mature bottlings present notes of toasted hazelnut, honey and orange oil. A true classic in the category and a wine that remains eternally popular with connoisseurs.
