The current release of Dom Pérignon Rosé is a blend composed of 56% Pinot Noir, with 13% of that being red wine, contributing to its vivid coloration, while the remaining 44% is Chardonnay. It underwent disgorgement in April 2022 and was given a dosage of 5g/L. The primary components of this vintage were sourced from the prestigious Grand Crus of Aÿ, Bouzy, Verzenay, Mailly, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, and Le Mesnil, in addition to their own Premier Cru vineyards in Hautvillers. Similar to the initial Rosé produced by the house back in 1959, this wine hails from a warm year. Thanks to its evident ripeness and well-rounded character, it can be enjoyed now.
The 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé is a sexy, racy wine that captures all the radiance of the year. Kirsch, blood orange, mint, spice and dried flowers unfurl in the glass. Thelatest release of this relatively rare classic. 2008 came out last year. Challenging vintage saved by a fine August. Harvest started 9 September. 56% Pinot Noir (including 13% still red wine) and 44% Chardonnay. Disgorged April 2022 after 14 years` tirage. Dosage 5 g/l. In 60 years, only 26 Dom Pe´rignon Rose´ vintages have been declared, potential investors are informed …Deep orange – almost the same colour as Aperol, dare I say! Richly fruity nose – almost strawberry compote – suggests a much richer palate than it turns out to be. There is really a very fine thread of acidity running through this. Thoroughly satisfying finish really soothes the throat. But, given the length of time this wine matured on lees, I`m quite surprised by the relatively light autolytic imprint. Almost more like a still burgundy than a champagne, although the finish has the liveliness one would expect of a sparkling wine, sorry, champagne! Perhaps I have to wait until the Plénitude stage to be utterly seduced by this wine!(JR)

The first release of this now famous prestige cuvée was the 1921 vintage, launched in 1936. Dom Pérignon produces only vintage Champagnes, both blanc and rosé, and offer a number of late release bottlings under their Oenothèque and Plénitude labels.
