Jadot Corton Pougets 2003 is a medium-bodied red wine from the Grand Cru climat of Corton in the Côte de Beaune. Maison Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, offering a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Cru expressions. The company is today run by Pierre-Henri Gagey, assisted by head winemaker Frédéric Barnier. On the 2003 Corton Pougets. "This is slightly more elegant and fresher still with really pretty earthy and ripe red pinot fruit that also merge seamlessly into sweet, mineral-driven and precise moderately full flavours that are beautifully textured and well detailed on the strikingly persistent, ever so slightly dry finish. This is unquestionably a stylish wine by the standards of the vintage and this will require at least a decade to come into its own." Burghound, 2005
