Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2004 is a mature blended red wine from the southern Rhône Valley of France. Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe is a name synonymous with fine, age-worthy Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which has owned and run by the Brunier family for more than a century. "Also classic and aging gracefully, the 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape is a medium to full-bodied, rich and mouth-filling effort, especially in the vintage. Kirsch, blackberry, garrigue, nori (seaweed/sushi wrapper which I seem to always find in this wine) and ample crushed-rock notes all round out the bouquet and on the palate, it’s nicely concentrated, with fine tannin and integrated acidity. It can be enjoyed anytime over the coming decade." Jeb Dunnuck, 2014

One of the benchmark, traditionally run estates in Chateauneuf du Pape, Vieux Telegraphe made an impressive red and white in 2004, both of which are youthful and have another decade of longevity.Jeb Dunnuck27th February 2014

Dark red. A strong floral quality accents ripe blackberry, kirsch and licorice aromas. Very sweet and impressively suave, with ripe cherry and dark berry flavors nicely framed by supple tannins. Finishes long and juicy, with terrific staying power.Josh Raynolds1st January 2007
