Cuvée Reserve Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a powerful, full-bodied Southern Rhône red blend and the flagship wine of the historic, family-owned Domaine du Pegau. A blend of the 13 permitted grape varieties in the appellation - predominantly Grenache with smaller proportions of Syrah and Mourvèdre - this wine is fermented with whole bunches in concrete tanks before ageing in 5,000l oak cask for two years. "A massive bouquet of kirsch liqueur, blackberries, garrigue, truffle, spice, and loads of other magical Southern Rhône goodness all emerge from this stunning Châteauneuf Du Pape. Full-bodied and powerful, it nevertheless stays balanced, light on its feet, and is a singular beauty that could come from nowhere else. It’s not for those looking for lightweight flavours or aromas (or for the brett adverse), but it will knock your socks off over the coming 20 years or more." Jeb Dunnuck, 2019

A Legacy of Tradition in Châteauneuf-du-Pape
In the sun-drenched vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine du Pegau stands as a testament to the power and complexity of Rhône Valley wines. Under the guidance of Laurence and Paul Féraud, the estate produces wines that are both rich and deeply expressive of their terroir. With vines averaging 50 years old, Pegau’s wines are renowned for their ability to age, developing layers of flavor that include dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones. The Féraud family’s dedication to traditional winemaking techniques ensures that each vintage tells the story of the land, making Domaine du Pegau a cornerstone of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
