Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée 2000 is a full-bodied white wine produced in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation of the southern Rhône Valley. Domaine de Pégaü is one of the finest producers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and in the greatest vintages its wines will easily rank amongst the very best of the region. Produced from biodynamically grapes, Cuvée Réservée is a blend of 13 grape varieties, mainly Grenache with smaller proportions of Syrah and Mourvèdre. "I`ve had some tired and almost over the hill bottles of the 2000 Domaine de Pegau Châteauneuf -du-Pape Cuvée Reservée recently, yet this bottle was firing on all cylinders, with a mature yet lively vibe in its sweet red fruits, garrigue, pepper, and meaty aromas and flavours. Reminding me of a Grand Cru Burgundy on the palate, with a seamless, layered texture, it`s a gorgeous Châteauneuf-du-Pape that ... should drink nicely from well-stored bottles over the coming decade." A Legacy of Tradition in Châteauneuf-du-Pape
In the sun-drenched vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine du Pegau stands as a testament to the power and complexity of Rhône Valley wines. Under the guidance of Laurence and Paul Féraud, the estate produces wines that are both rich and deeply expressive of their terroir. With vines averaging 50 years old, Pegau’s wines are renowned for their ability to age, developing layers of flavor that include dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones. The Féraud family’s dedication to traditional winemaking techniques ensures that each vintage tells the story of the land, making Domaine du Pegau a cornerstone of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
