Eric Rodez Empreinte Blanche 2013 is a distinctive expression of 100% Chardonnay from the esteemed Grand Cru village of Ambonnay. Sourced from meticulously tended plots such as Les Genettes and La Pierre aux Larrons, this wine undergoes vinification exclusively in oak barrels, presenting a nuanced profile. The absence of malolactic fermentation retains the grape`s purity and minerality. With a low dosage of 1.5g/l, its structure is markedly refined. The 2013 vintage in Champagne, though challenging, yielded wines of remarkable freshness and tension due to a late, slow ripening.

Glass-staining purple. Aromas and flavors of candied blueberry, boysenberry and licorice, with a sexy floral quality gaining power with air. Broad and extremely deep, with a velvety texture and mounting spiciness. Utterly seamless Chateauneuf with excellent finishing power and a lingering note of smoky minerality.
