Eric Rodez Blanc de Blancs Edition 37 NV is a refined expression of Champagne crafted entirely from Chardonnay. This blend incorporates carefully selected vintages from 2018 to 2020, with reserve wines adding depth. Fermented predominantly in oak barrels, the wine exhibits subtle complexity, with 10% undergoing malolactic fermentation. Its minimal dosage of 1.5g/l accentuates the purity of the fruit. Eric Rodez applies organic and biodynamic practices within his 6 hectares in Ambonnay Grand Cru, positioning him as a pioneering grower in sustainable viticulture since 1984. This Edition 37 offers enhanced traceability for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
93 Robert Parker
The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is going to have plenty of admirers. Deep plum/ruby to the rim, medium to full-bodied, with a classic nose of garrigue, smoky meats, loads of kirsch and black currants, this broad, dense wine exhibits superb purity, enough acidity for focus and freshness, and a long, heady finish. This is one of the best traditional cuvees made in several years. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
92 Vinous
Dark red. Deep red and dark berry aromas complicated by rose, lavender and smoky minerality. Showing more richness and darker fruit character than it did from cask, offering sweet black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a mounting floral quality. Not at all outsized. Packs a solid punch and finishes with impressive clarity and length.
