The Leroy name is a key pillar of the Burgundian wine scene and a beacon of light in the Côte d`Or. Unlike Domaine Leroy and Domaine d`Auvenay, Maison Leroy represents a portfolio of wines selected by Lalou Bize-Leroy but not made by herself. Following the initial selection process, the wines are aged at the domaine and selected for release when she believes the wines are ready for consumption.

The Leroy name is a key pillar of the Burgundian wine scene and a leading light in the Côte d'Or, with three main strands: Domaine Leroy, Maison Leroy and Domaine d'Auvenay (a small, biodynamically farmed Domaine founded by Lalou in 1988). Maison Leroy was founded by François Leroy as a négociant house in 1868 in the village of Auxey-Duresses and is today headed up by the renowned Lalou Bize-Leroy.

Unlike Domaine Leroy and Domaine d'Auvenay, Maison Leroy represents a portfolio of wines selected by Lalou, but not made by Lalou. Vignerons from across Burgundy will submit their wines for evaluation and, following a blind tasting, Lalou will select just a few to be bottled under the Maison label.
