Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Chablis Vaulorent William Fèvre 2009 is a Premier Cru Chardonnay from the celebrated Domaine William Fèvre. This Jeroboam originates from an enclave bordering Les Preuses, often yielding the power and depth of its Grand Cru neighbours. The 2009 vintage provides a voluminous profile of yellow peach, citrus pith and dried white flowers. Winemaker Didier Séguier utilised seasoned French oak and stainless steel to balance the natural ripeness with textbook saline minerality and iodine notes. This double-magnum format remains wonderfully fresh and will maintain its concentrated structure through 2030.

The 2009 Chablis Vaulorent is a big, voluminous wine. The old vines speak eloquently in deep layers of yellow peaches, stone fruits and minerals. This really blossoms in the glass, showing superb depth and pedigree. The finish literally stains the palate with masses of fruit. The ripeness and exuberance of the fruit is very well balanced by the wine’s persistent minerality and broad, expansive frame. This is a selection of the estate’s best fruit from eight separate parcels in Vaulorent, which itself lies within Fourchaume, the only premier cru on the grand cru hillside. Bright, pale, green-tinged yellow. Knockout nose combines lime, crushed stone and wild herbs. Enters the mouth sweet and silky, but its superb opulence is nicely leavened by surprising acidity and firm lemony cut. Impressive volume here for a premier cru, and more inviting today than the Montee de Tonnerre owing to its early sweetness. This, too, really saturates the palate, finishing with superb sucrosite as well as lively lemony grip that stimulates the salivary glands.Stephen Tanzer1st July 2011

Chablis with exceptional terroir focus

Domaine William Fèvre, located in the prestigious Chablis region of Burgundy, has a legacy spanning over 250 years. Established in 1959, William Fèvre is one of the biggest landowners in Chablis, with just under 80 hectares of vineyards. Of these, 15.9 hectares are classified as Premier Cru, and 15.2 hectares as Grand Cru. The domaine boasts holdings in six out of the seven Grand Crus, with Les Clos as the flagship, producing profound white wine Chardonnay with great structure, mineral depth, and ageability.

The Fèvre family, led by the eponymous William Fèvre, established a reputation for fine wine production. The estate was sold to the Champagne house Joseph Henriot in 1998, but the legacy of the Fèvre family continues under the guidance of former Bouchard cellar master Didier Séguier. Under his management, William Fèvre has become a benchmark for terroir-focused Chablis, continuing the tradition started by William Fèvre's father.

Since 2000, the domaine has expanded its vineyard holdings while intensifying its commitment to sustainable farming practices. The estate has also embraced organic cultivation methods, with the entire 78 hectares estate becoming organic-certified in 2023. Careful oak management is central to William Fèvre’s terroir-driven style: Premier Cru wines are vinified in 40-50% French oak barrels; Grand Crus in 70-80%, without new wood.
