Domaine Coche-Dury Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2019 is a regional red Burgundy from one of the leading domaines in the Côte d`Or. Coche-Dury has been described by Jancis Robinson as "the most reliable source of great white Burgundies". The domaine was established in the 1920s by Léon Coche and in 1973 was renamed Coche-Dury when Léon`s grandson, Jean-François, added his wife’s surname. This Bourgogne Rouge comes from Pinot Noir holdings which surround the domaine. Fruit is mostly destemmed. "A fresh, cool and pretty nose reflects notes of essence of red berries with a touch of earth that is picked up by the bright, delicious and vibrant flavours that conclude in a dusty and lingering finale. This almost gulpable effort is built on its fruit yet it offers unusually good complexity in the context of what is typical for the genre." Burghound, 2022

The 2019 Bourgogne Rouge has a open nose with red cherries and blueberry fruit, refined and quite delineated. The palate is well balanced with a touch of liquorice on the entry, finely balanced, quite bold with mulberry and a touch of tar on the finish. Neal Martin1st December 2021
