The Bourgogne Blanc from the 2009 vintage is an approachable, entry-level white wine from Maison Leroy. Despite its classification as a regional appellation, Maison Leroy`s commitment to quality ensures that even their Bourgogne Blanc showcases the distinctive characteristics of Burgundy. The 2009 vintage in Burgundy was generally regarded as excellent, marked by favourable weather conditions that allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness. As a result, this release offers ripe fruit flavours, balanced acidity, and a generous mouthfeel.

Hand Picked Burgundies

The Leroy name is a key pillar of the Burgundian wine scene and a leading light in the Côte d'Or, with three main strands: Domaine Leroy, Maison Leroy and Domaine d'Auvenay (a small, biodynamically farmed Domaine founded by Lalou in 1988). Maison Leroy was founded by François Leroy as a négociant house in 1868 in the village of Auxey-Duresses and is today headed up by the renowned Lalou Bize-Leroy.

Unlike Domaine Leroy and Domaine d'Auvenay, Maison Leroy represents a portfolio of wines selected by Lalou, but not made by Lalou. Vignerons from across Burgundy will submit their wines for evaluation and, following a blind tasting, Lalou will select just a few to be bottled under the Maison label.
