Blanc de Lynch-Bages 2000 is a white Bordeaux blend produced in the Pauillac appellation. From Bordeaux`s legendary 2000 vintage, this wine comprises primarily Sauvignon Blanc, with additional contributions from Sémillon and Muscadelle, sourced from the estate`s gravelly soils. The 2000 vintage is characterised by dry and warm climatic conditions. The wine underwent fermentation and maturation in around 50% new oak barrels, providing structure and depth. Aromas include preserved lemon and subtle beeswax, while the palate reveals hints of ginger spice.

The Modern Pauillac

Situated in the celebrated Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux, Château Lynch Bages uses around 60% of its 100 hectares to produce its first wine (a 5th growth in the 1855 classification) in addition to producing a second red, Echo de Lynch Bages. These wines display superb Cabernet Sauvignon character, together with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making up the blend. A wonderful example of the power and elegance of truly great Pauillac: gloriously supple and smooth with a tannic backbone.

A white wine, known as Blanc de Lynch Bages, is also produced in very small quantities. Made from an elegant blend of the classic white Bordeaux varietals, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle, the resulting wines display exhilarating freshness and dried apricot complexity.
