Hudson Vineyard Chardonnay 2023 is a Carneros bottling marking the return of this site to the portfolio after replanting. This vintage is opulent and racy, featuring marzipan, lemon cream and kumquat, supported by a saline streak of crushed rocks and oyster shell. Winemaking includes 10 months of ageing in 75% new French oak, which imparts a polished texture and notes of salted hazelnut. The 2023 is notable for its reticent, long-term evolution and impeccable balance, capturing the classic concentration of the Hudson site`s volcanic and clay-based soils.

Aubert

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
