The Hudson Vineyard runs along a northern stretch of Carneros soils that are thin and rocky and as a result, the vineyard’s old vines struggle to produce even the most modest of crops, making this a very special find.
The 2018 vintage presents a nose of ripe apple and pear, underscored by subtle notes of hazelnut and wet stone. The palate showcases a blend of stone fruit flavours with a notable mineral edge, reflecting the vineyard’s challenging conditions.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.
In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
