The 2015 Aubert Hudson Chardonnay is a highly acclaimed, full-bodied Californian Chardonnay from the Carneros appellation, renowned for its intensity, richness, and complexity. Created by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 1999, Aubert produces some of California’s most sought-after Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from vineyards across Sonoma. The 2015 Hudson showcases powerful aromas of baked peaches, pear tart, citrus oil, honeysuckle, toasted nuts and allspice, along with a whisper of struck match reduction.

A rich, intense wine, the 2015 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard exudes power and intensity, but that is expressed in persistence rather than in textural weight. Smoke, slate, dried pear, mint and dried flowers are some of the hallmarks. This is remarkably precise for such a big wine. A touch of reduction adds complexity without being overly dominant. Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
