For generations, the Côte de Beaune has been shaped by a celebrated mosaic of vineyards, each with its own history, character and sense of place. Vignoble des Cabottes brings together some of the most emblematic of these climats in a new estate dedicated to expressing their individual identities. The 35-hectare estate gathers a collection of distinguished parcels stretching from the hill of Corton through Beaune and Volnay to the great vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet.
The name itself pays homage to the cabottes - the traditional dry-stone shelters found among the vineyards of the Côte d’Or - symbols of the region’s deep-rooted connection between people, place and vine. The estate’s vineyards have been farmed organically since 2022, with a transition towards biodynamic farming, while a meticulous, parcel-by-parcel approach in the cellar seeks to preserve the character of each climat.
The inaugural 2023 vintage marks the beginning of this new chapter, bringing together a remarkable collection of Premier and Grand Cru wines. From the mineral precision of Meursault and the celebrated vineyards of Beaune to the extraordinary Grands Crus of Corton and Montrachet, the range offers a fascinating portrait of the Côte de Beaune through some of its most distinguished sites.
