Founded in 1879 in Haro, Rioja, CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) is one of Spain’s historic wine producers. Still family-owned, now in its fifth generation, the winery combines more than 145 years of winemaking experience with a continued commitment to quality, tradition and innovation.

Its portfolio includes some of Rioja’s most recognised names, including Cune, Imperial, Viña Real and Viñedos del Contino, alongside wines from other leading Spanish regions. From classic Rioja styles to distinctive single-vineyard wines, CVNE offers a broad perspective on the character and diversity of Spanish winemaking.

We’re delighted to welcome Juan Guillén Cabezudo, Senior Export Manager at CVNE, as he shares insights into the winery’s history, approach and wines.
