Tignanello, with its blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, has become a defining expression of the Chianti Classico hills, combining the depth and structure of its Bordeaux varieties with the freshness and character of Sangiovese. Sassicaia, meanwhile, has carved its own path along the Tuscan coast, where Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc find a distinctive expression of elegance, restraint and remarkable longevity.
For this Hedonistic Tasting, we invite you to discover these two icons side by side, exploring the nuances that set them apart and the qualities they share. Through a selection of standout vintages, the evening will offer a rare opportunity to appreciate the character, complexity and enduring appeal of two of Italy’s most sought-after wines.
The tasting will be led by James Hallam, one of our most knowledgeable Fine Wine & Spirits Specialists. With a background in hospitality and a lifelong fascination with the stories behind each bottle, James brings both expertise and passion to every experience. Since joining Hedonism Wines in 2020, he has had the opportunity to taste some of the world’s most iconic wines. What drives him most is helping others find their personal “click moment” with wine, those unforgettable connections shaped by the people, places, and history behind the glass.
To complement the wines, the evening will be accompanied by pizza from Delfino, bringing a touch of the Italian table to the tasting and creating a relaxed, convivial setting in which to enjoy these exceptional bottles.
