Domaine de la Vougeraie is a Burgundy wine producer owned by the influential Boisset family. It is one of the newest domaines in the region, with holdings that cover nearly 40 hectares in 30 different appellations throughout the region. The 2014 Vougeot Premier Cru le Clos Blanc has a detailed aroma profile, which includes floral and earthy notes. The palate is rounded and balanced on the entry, suggesting tinned peaches and nectarine, complemented by electric acidity and perfectly integrated oak.
Jancis Robinson
The 2014 Vougeot 1er Cru le Clos Blanc has a clean and detailed, granite and smoke-scented bouquet that is austere at first, but finds its voice with aeration. The palate is rounded and harmonious on the entry with touches of tinned peach and nectarine, a keen line of acidity and nicely integrated oak just filling out the finish. Give it a year or two once in bottle - it will be a very fine Vougeot.Neal Martin31st December 2015

Top Flight Biodynamic Burgundy

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home.

One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
