Domaine Coche-Dury Volnay Premier Cru 1995 is a rare red wine from an estate famous for its world-class white Burgundies. This bottling is a blend of two Premier Cru sites, Taillepieds and Clos des Chênes, depending on the yields of the vintage. The 1995 vintage produced wines with concentrated fruit and formidable tannins, which Jean-François Coche-Dury managed through his traditional, long ageing process in French oak. This 1995 release has matured into a powerful and savoury wine, showing notes of dark cherry, iron and smoked meat. The tannins are now fully resolved, revealing a deep, complex palate with a long, mineral-inflected finish.
