Vérité Le Désir 2016 is a superb Bordeaux-style red blend from Sonoma County. Crafted by winemaker Pierre Seillan, it is a part of the prestigious Vérité Estate’s portfolio. The 2016 vintage primarily consists of Cabernet Franc, with the addition of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This full-bodied wine showcases notes of blackcurrants, blackberries and tobacco, with hints of violet and graphite. Elegantly structured, it offers well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity and a long, harmonious finish, reflecting the quality of the vintage and winemaking expertise.

Cabernet Sauvignon takes center stage in the 2016 Le Désir. Graphite, menthol, lavender, spice, pine, dried herbs and licorice give the 2016 striking aromatic depth to match its mid-weight personality. Elegant and nuanced, but with plenty of richness, the 2016 has a ton to offer.Antonio Galloni1st January 2020

Bordeaux via Sonoma County

A true visionary, Jess Jackson’s lengthy career, which spanned more than 30 years, was driven by a passion for producing extraordinary wine from California’s best vineyards. Jackson had longed to create a wine that would be just as good as the world’s best wines and was confident that the terroir in Sonoma County had that potential. Teaming up with Bordeaux winemaker Pierre Seillan, the duo created Vérité - a project with the aim of making some of the world's greatest Cabernet Sauvignon.

As Pierre approaches retirement, the reins are being passed to his daughter Hélène Seillan, who grew up in Sonoma County and Saint-Émilion, studying Viticulture and Oneology at the Institut Rural de Vayres in Bordeaux. Hélène is set to build on the work of her father and Jess Jackson - crafting Bordeaux-inspired Cabernet with poise and precision.
