Termanthia 2004 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Tinta de Toro grapes in the Toro region of Spain. Termanthia is a high-end red wine produced by Bodega Numanthia in Toro. The winery is known for its focus on producing top-quality wines from the indigenous Tinta de Toro grape variety, a local clone of Tempranillo. On the 2004. "Powerful yet graceful, this red shows concentration, intensity and elegance. Oak is dominant now, with luscious mocha, dark chocolate and toasty flavours, but there`s plenty of ripe black fruit underneath. Massive tannins are so well-integrated the wine feels plush, and lively acidity keeps this balanced." Wine Spectator, 2007

The 2004 Termanthia, sourced from XIX-century vines in Toro during a perfect year for the region, is a dark garnet wine with a brick sheen. It features ripe black fruits, bay leaf and dried figs against a bouquet backdrop. Rich and velvety on the palate, the faintly reactive tannins are gently lifted by a juicy, calibrated acidity. This wine is a beautiful oldie in perfect shape.Joaquin Hidalgo5th December 2023
