Tarlant Cuvée Louis NV is a non-vintage, single-vineyard Champagne produced in the Marne Valley of France. Tarlant is a boutique, family-owned producer, offering an extensive selection of champagnes. Their vineyards span across 14 hectares, encompassing four distinct crus. Oeuilly, Boursault, St-Agnan, and Celles-les-Condés, all located in the picturesque Marne Valley. With a total of 57 parcels, Tarlant practices sustainable viticulture to ensure the preservation of the land. A blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, Cuvée Louis is produced from a single vineyard parcel and includes wines from the 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1996 vintages. It was disgorged in 2015. "This has a deeper gold-ish hue and plenty of autolysis-driven grilled nuts in addition to nougat and berry pastries. The palate has a chiselled, refined and chalky feel – compressed by age but very fresh still. It`s smooth and made up of a delicate layering of elegant peaches and a light cherry finish. A Champagne that shows nice balance but is complex at the same time." James Suckling, 2016
